Workshop, Article & Interviews
In February, I was fortunate to escape frigid Chicago and enjoy tropical Florida. In Miami, I had the privilege and pleasure of presenting WCIYB Team Building Workshops for the NewsLink Group corporate staff and airport store supervisors. As part of my pre-workshop preparation, I went on an "airport store field trip" to gain a better understanding about NewsLink's News/Gift, Britto and Coco Bay stores, meet other team members and joyfully see my WCIYB book prominently on the "Featured Book" table.
The article How Knowing Your Brain Color Can Make You A Better Parent was featured in February issue of Chicago Parent Magazine.
I also took some time off to relax in the sun and enjoy watching the beginning events of the Olympic Winter Games with my husband and my former college roommate. | |
What's On My Library Shelf
Did you know that only 1 out of 4 adults reads a book a year?
It's a sad statistic, but true.
I was definately was not part of that study. I am a voracious reader and usually read several books at one time. The following titles are books I am reading or recently enjoyed. Happy Reading!

Brain Color "Stress Less" Clues
Everyone is feeling the effects of our difficult economy. How individuals respond to stressful situations differs because of their personality type. Understanding their Brain Colors behavior help people decrease the stress and increase the harmony in their lives.
"Yellow Brainers" value orderliness and need to know what is expected of them. They become stressed if their plans are disrupted or they have to deal with disorganization. When frustrated they worry and may become rigid and/or self-righteous about their ideas.
"Blue Brainers" need to spend time with family and friends and desire a peaceful lifestyle. Lack of cooperation stresses them, and they must talk about their upset. If they are frustrated they may become disheartened and emotionally overwhelmed about a situation.
"Green Brainers" are reserved individuals who require "alone time," especially when they are thinking about how to solving a problem. They stress out when dealing with incompetency. When frustrated they emotionally withdraw from others and may become condescending.
"Orange Brainers" are fun-loving dynamos who thrive on adventure and taking risks. Their greatest stressor is someone else's rules, which they think they do not have to follow. They become frustrated easily and physically "drop out" and will "pout" when they feel restricted.
Green Brainers and Yellow Brainers have an "I need to be in control" and logical attitude about stress, while Blue Brainers and Orange Brainers have an "I need to tell someone" and physical approach to dealing with stress. |
