Word Wednesday – “Aglet”
“Aglet” is my word for WordWednesday.
• Noun: A metal or plastic tube fixed tightly around each end of a shoelace.
• Usage: Today, many shoes use Velcro, instead of shoes laces with an “Aglet” on each end, to close the shoe.
• Pronunciation – aɡlət
• Do you remember learning how to tie your shoes with laces that had an “Aglet” on each end?

The little piece of plastic on the end of your shoelaces. (Also a great name for a cat, if you ask certain Curiosity editors.)
