Spring Cleaning in the Garden Teaches Life Lessons!
Mother Nature teaches us valuable life lessons each spring. Living in the Chicagoland area offers me the beauty, bounties, and benefits of the autumn, winter, spring, and summer seasons. After a snowy and cold winter, I am always eager for spring cleaning in my gardens. Below are my Brain Color Life Lessons that my garden teach me.
My Yellow Brain Life Lesson is remembering that Mother Nature has her own seasonal plan. Now it’s time for me to make a plan to clean up, transplant, plant, and enjoy the timely cycles in my garden and in my life.
My Blue Brain Life Lesson is the gratitude I have for being healthy and capable to enjoy working in my gardens after breaking my leg in July 2016.
My Green Brain Life Lesson is to continuing learning about planting and caring for the new flowers and vegetables I plant in containers on my deck, where I know the deer will not eat my delicious treasures.
My Orange Brain Life Lesson is the excitement, surprises, and beauty of the colorful new spring growth on my trees, shrubs, and perennial flowers.
Take a few minutes to stop and enjoy the lessons spring clean up can offer you, even if you do not have your own garden that needs tending. Enjoy an arboretum, your neighborhood, and/or a community garden!
