SPECIAL EVENT PLANNERS
On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of presenting a What Color Is Your Brain? Workshop to the members of the Chicago Chapter of ISES (International Special Event Society) at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
I was referred to ISES by Christina Currie, Owner and Director of Events for Party Partner, Inc.,whom I met at a Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce Women’s Biz Net Council luncheon and graciously told her colleagues, “Sheila is truly amazing! I cannot wait for everyone to hear her speech and to learn more about her amazing book. I have already applied her method and I have only been made aware of her book.”
It was a pleasure working with Alexandra Jusino, President, of Exquisite Events and Exquisite Weddings, who is the Vice President of Programs and Education and Sandy Sobczak, Senior Event Coordinator Classic Party Rentals, who is the President of Chicago ISES chapter.
Over 70 event planner and vendor in attended the workshop, which “colorfully” focus on:
1. Communicating and collaborating with their clients;
2. Recognizing and understanding their client’s attributes and idiosyncrasies;
3. Dealing with frustrating vendors;
4. Keep their energy up and their stress down; and
5. Increasing the harmony and decreasing the hassles in their lives!
The attendees were most participatory and enjoyable to work with!
The Botanic Garden was the perfect venue for me, an avid gardener! When I arrived, I was graciously welcomed by Whitney Turner, the Event Planner at the Botanic Garden, who escorted me the meeting room in the Regenstein Center.
After my presentation, Calihan Catering served a beautifully unique and delicious luncheon in the McGinley Pavilion. Nitin Vyas, Venue & Event Account Representative informed the attendees about the Tiffins, Indian lunch boxes, at everyone’s place.
