SERENDIPITY: MY BLUE BRAIN GIFT

I love the word serendipity and the Blue Brain Gifts it offers me. By definition “serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely unrelated.”

A few months ago my friend, Elaine Hankin, who is the Barnes & Noble Community Relation Manager at the Linconshire IL bookstore, referred me Lisa Schuble who is the president of Champagne PR.

My  publisher, SLACK, Inc., has decided to begin a new PR campaign for What Color Is Your Brain? and they have hire Lisa as my publicist.

Lisa and I have also been collaborating on my new website. She introduced me to Eric Kocsis, owner of Meta Grove, a web developing and marketing company to help me with the SEO (search engine optimization).

Eric and his wife have been reading my book. This afternoon, Eric  told me, “My my wife loves your book!” and she would love to talk with when we finish our conversation. We concluded our business and Mary got on the phone. She told me that “Last night I couldn’t put your book down.” Words an author feels are better than “a birthday present you always wanted” comment from a reader.

Mary, also is Blue/Orange Brainer, just like me. Of course, we immediate Brain Colors clicked.
She told me about her high school classroom project for the Fall and we began an exciting a Blue Brainstorming session, which generated grand ideas for her students!

I think the gifts of serendipity and the roads they lead to
are extraordinary and exciting!

What gifts have you received or what roads
have you traveled because of Serendipity?
