Secrets Of A 50-Year Marriage!

This Sunday, April 9th, Jordan and I will gratefully celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our children and grandchildren! When we married in 1967, we signed our Ketubah, a traditional Jewish wedding contract. We made an agreement to be responsible to and for one another, and to share and encourage each other through life’s joys and sorrows.

Jordan is a Logical Green Brainer and I am a Creative Blue Brainer. In Romantic Brain Color relationships, usually, opposites attract. In our case, it is true! The following are several secrets, that I can publically share, that demonstrate how we have created our loving, joyful, and blessed 50-year marriage:

Our Yellow Brains have respected each the other’s sense of integrity and individualism.
Our Blue Brains have forgiven the “whopper” mistakes we both have made and we have always shown each other loving affection.
Our Green Brains have learned to accept one another’s “crazy” idiosyncrasies and value our “Praiseworthy Gifts.”
Our Orange Brains have continually enjoyed copious of fun times together!
♥ We are diligent about thinking how the person would feel, think, and/or react in different situations.
With abundant appreciation for our blessings of Life, Love, Health, and Happiness (which are inscribed in our wedding bands), we remember to abide by the sign that hangs over our bathroom sinks. Each day it reminds us to show each other how much we love, appreciate, and cherish each other! It reads: “The Best Thing In Life Is To Hold On To Each Other!”

L’chaim: To Life!
