REPELLING FOR HEALTHY LUNGS

Last Sunday, Oct. 25th was a perfect Autumn day
for Ashton, Sheryl, Sheryl’s friend, Lisa, Jordan
and I
to enjoy watching Joshua, participate in
Skyline Plunge! Chicago. The event was a fund-raiser for the
Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago
continue its work and mission to promote healthy lungs and fight
lung disease through research, advocacy and education.

Our grandson, Ashton, looking “up” to and for his Dad

Each participant needed to raise $1,000.00 to take the Plunge.
Joshua surpassed his goal by raising $2,200.00
and
acknowledged those who donated to the Plunge:
“For myself, my family, and those needing treatment for
respiratory diseases, thank you!”

Joshua said he was also repelling down 27 stories of the Wit Hotel

No, Joshua is not washing the windows

“in honor of my late grandmother Sylvia who suffered with breathing
complications from tuberculosis for much of her life.”
I toldhim that
Mimi (my mother) would have been “Kvelling” about him and
howhe honored her!

Joshua… mission accomplished

Of course, our entire family and Joshua’s friends were very
proud of hisaccomplishments!
