Diabetes Connection

Many of my experiences with diabetes served as the inspiration for my first book, Princess Shayna’s Invisible Visible Gift. The story’s heroine is a princess who has Type 1 diabetes. Shayna demonstrates that no one is perfect, not even a princess. What exactly is the “invisible visible gift”? I believe that self-esteem is invisible when you give it to someone, and visible upon them when they receive it, but only if they’re willing to share their gift with others. Both messages are significant to children and adults, particularly to those families who face the daily challenges of diabetes together.

Print the Silver Apricot chapter and enjoy reading more about Princess Shayna with your family.
