Join an Exciting Global Education Chat for Students, Teachers and Parents – Building and Keeping Virtual Relationships!
GlobalEdSsChat
My Orange Brain is excited to be a guest panelist for the GlobalEdSsChat for December 2020. The Topic will be: Building and Keeping Virtual Relationships.
My friend and colleague, Leigh Cassel, who is the founder of the Digital Human Library, asked me to share my Brain Color concepts with the students.
Chat questions
The Green Brain questions we will be chatting about are:
1. How have your relationships with others changed as a result of the pandemic? What have you learned?
2. What are some of the advantages and challenges of virtual relationships?
3. What advice would you give to other students about how to build and keep relationships online?
4. How do you build relationships virtually at school? (online school)
5. Do you believe that virtual relationships are as meaningful
What is GlobalEdSsChat
Global Education Student Chat @GlobalEdSsChat (formerly @ONedSsChat) was founded by Leigh Cassell and Jennifer Casa-Todd in the Spring 2017 to connect K-12 students across Ontario, Canada and empower student voice. Based on the success of #ONedSsChat, they decided to go global!
Each month K-12 students around the world meet to discuss topics related to social justice, character, and citizenship. The same questions, as above will be used for the Slow Chat all month long. It is recommend that classes spend time answering the questions ahead of time so time during the chat can be spent liking tweets, retweeting, quoting tweets in reply, and collaborating with others.
Your Blue Brain can read more about the leadership team, teacher guides and their amazing stories. I know you will be inspired by their dedication to having a global conversation!
How to join the chat
Your Yellow Brain can schedule to join us tomorrow, December 8th @ 1PM EST for our Tweet & Talk!
Watch live: globaledsschat.com or go the website for more information, the video, and the slow chat afterwards. You can also go to Twitter @GlobalEdSsChat.
