Is Your Personality Type Challenged by the Editing Process?

I had been putting off creating short videos of my What Color Is Your Brain? Program video from an Association of Occupational Health Professionals (AOHP) Annual Conference. I liked the video clips, but my Green Brain abilities always score the lowest on my personality assessment/brain quiz.

My Yellow Brain Planned to set aside time this week to complete this work. My Creative Blue Brain enjoyed selecting and formatting visuals to use in the new introduction slides I made for the video clips. In fact, I am writing this post while the PowerPoint presentations are slowly being converted to wmv movies, and I am almost done!

However, I must confess that I struggled with the Green Brain Editing Process because I had to:

1. Select which video clip would logically compliment another.

2. Develop a methodical sequential order of slides and video clips.

3. Keeping tract of the numerical timer on the slide show

4. Click exactly on time to advance to the to the next slide or video clip

5. Deal with my dyslexia

6. Repeatedly go through the slides to make sure the timing was precise

NOTE: Green Brainers do NOT like repetition!

I will never win an Oscar for my editing. However, I now have a greater appreciation for the professional movie and video editors who make their living editing every day!

When I add the new videos to my YouTube channel and on my website,  I will feel a huge sense of accomplishment and relief!

I’ll keep you posted about my Green Brain Video Editing Premier!

This one made me laugh because I was picturing you going through this rather agonizing process. Then I felt guilty for laughing at your obvious pain.
