In Between The Music of Hemingway and Wisconsin

Billy Joel said, “I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.

I love listening to exquisite blending of picturesque music and fascinating history that my creative and multi-talented Blue Brain friend, Lily Miceli creates for her monthly radio program, In Between The Music – Where music gives voice to words!  Every month, I eagerly await Lily’s email announcing the latest program.

Lily’s summer programs were filled with surprises about the state of Wisconisn and the renown author of winner of the 1954 Nobel Prize in Literature, Earnest Hemingway.  I am always delighted and never disappointed by Lily’s theme and selections! I also enjoy the photo gallery on the left hand side of  her site, which compliment the musical and historic facts.

I hope you will enjoy June’s program is entitled Music of Wisconsin and July’s program is entitled  Music of Hemingway.

Just today I entered a contest to win a new book titled, “Hemingway’s Daughter.”

Hemingway was the father of three boys. The youngest child, Gregory, was transgendered and died in 2001, in jail as Gloria Hemingway, a female.

I hope you win the book. It sounds fascinating, but tragic… just like Hemingway’s life.
