How Can You Trim Things Back In Your Life To Be Happier and Healthier?
Trimming Back My Gardens
Today, I spent the morning and early afternoon trimming back the dead and browned out flowers from our perennial flower gardens. It was a tedious and time consuming job. However, now I feel a sense of accomplishment that the gardens look well trimmed and pretty again.
My Beloved Father’s Garden Shears
I have also use my father’s garden shears for the larger tree and bush branches. I remember my beloved father using these shears to trim the evergreens along our driveway and tree branches and yews in our garden. This year my husband Jordan thoughtfully cleaned and polished my 80 year old shears. Now, they sparkle, as if they are brand new.
Brain Color Personalities Trimming Back
The trimming got me thinking about how each personality can to trim back things they do not need to do to experience a happier and healthier life. The following are examples of what each each Brain Color Personality can to trim back.
Yellow Brainers can trim back responsibilities they agree to handle for themselves and other people.
Blue Brainers can trim back saying “Yes” and offering help t0 others without knowing all the details of the situation.
Green Brainers can trim back their problem solving tasks and enjoy some time to relax.
Orange Brainers can trim back saying, “I can do that!” whenever they like an idea they have or someone else tells them about.
Closing Thought
Remember to take time to trim back responsibilities, offerings, problem solving, and volunteering to enjoy a happier and healthier life.
