Holocaust Remembrance Day 2013

Today, I lit a Yahrzeit Memorial Candle to observe the Holocaust Remembrance Day.

In Israel a special “Every Person Has a Name” Ceremony was also observed.

Not only should we remember the 6 Million Jewish men, women and children who were murdered.

We should also remember that there were 11 million individuals who were murdered.

There were  approximately 5 million other individuals, including Roma (Gypsies), Poles, Russian prisoners of war, Jehovah’s Witnesses and other religious groups, political prisoners, male homosexuals and various other minorities.

“Zichronam lebrach”  – זכרונם לברכה – bless their memory.

Let us always remember!
