“Happy Day!”

A few months ago, my husband and I were in Los Angeles attending our lovely cousin Beverly’s memorial service. It was a very difficult and sad time for our Glazov family. One morning, as were leaving our hotel room we said “good morning” to the housekeeper and let her know we would not be returning to our room until the evening.

She smiled at us and said, “Happy Day!”

Jordan and I both smiled and replied, “Happy Day to you too!”

When we got in the elevator we both remarked how Blue Brain the housekeeper was and how joyful her words and smile made us feel. She erased some of our sorrow remembering all the Happy Days we shared with our dear cousin Beverly (of blessed memory).

I have continued to use our “Beverly  Happy Day” greeting. The words and memories always bring a smile to my face and heart and I enjoy the smiles and responses I receive from others!

Remember it is not… “Have a happy day!” it just “HAPPY DAY!”

Try it and let me know how you feel and how other people respond!

HAPPY DAY!

Happy Day to you, my friend. I started The Dove Keepers. It reminds me of the Red Tent. I hope you have more Happy Days to enjoy over the lovely weekend. 🙂
