Gratitude and Remembrance for D-Day and the Battle of Midway

Today,  marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day on June 6, 1944.

June 4th marked the 77th anniversary of the Battle of Midway on May 4, 1942.

Both events mark turning points in World War II and the battles for freedom in the European and Pacific theaters of war.

This morning, the Daily Herald newspaper featured two poignant article on the Opinion page, which I wanted to share in this blog post.

Both articles offered remembrances of the courage and commitment of our military troops.

I also have included links to the history of both events.

TY for sharing these articles. We who reap the benefits should be aware of the history of these benefits. Democracy will not just keep on keeping on. History and participation are relevant. Jean

You are most welcome, Jean. I am in complete agreement with your opinion of history, democracy, and participation. I think it also is our Blue Brain teacher personalities!
