Decision Making and Motivation To Keep Your New Year’s Resolutions

When the New Year begins many people begin making decisions to achieve personal and professional goals and/or keep their New Year resolutions.

Of course, individuals make decisions differently according to their Brain Color Personality, how they are motivated, and if they confidently say, “I think I can, I think I can,”  just like the little engine in one of my favorite children’s books, The Little Engine That Could.

I have a question that encourages people to ask themselves before they answer “yes” to a request. The question is: “Is this a HEALTHY  decision for me?”

Your response is significant because it will affect you personally, professionally, financially, emotionally and/or spiritually.
Below are examples of Brain Color Motivators to keep you on track with your resolutions and/or HEALTHY decisions:

Yellow Brain Motivators
Completing a to-do list
Deadlines
Symbolic recognition

Blue Brain Motivators
Others listening to and valuing their ideas
Opportunities to share their feelings
Creative opportunities

Green Brain Motivators
Problem-solving opportunities
Creating a system or procedure
Implementation of their solution(s)

Orange Brain Motivators
Thrill of a new challenge
Rapid results
Competition

Good luck keeping your resolutions and making HEALTHY decisions in 2014!
