DAILY THUMB EXERCISES

Work on my new website and developing What Color Is Your Brain? workbooks, for the last few weeks, has given my fingers and thumbs intense aerobic workouts.

Recently, I was reminded of how much exercise some individual’s thumbs receive. While I was purchasing my new cell phone, I noticed that the young man who was helping me was using both his thumbs on his calculator to total my phone and contract bill.

While the older gentleman seated next to me, was only using the index finger on right hand to calculate his bill.

Both activities made my “Green Brain”, not my “Green Gardener’s Thumb” (too busy for gardening),
contemplate the fact that:

People no long go thumbing, as in hitch hiking a ride. That’s way too dangerous.

Because of the Kindle some people no longer go thumbing through a book. Sadly, only 1 out of 4 Americans reads a book a year.

Now, people are thumbing on their phones, sending text messages, which carries over to other daily activities… Hummmm…. or should I say… Thumbbbbbbbb?!

Are you a “Thumber”?
Do you do you do “Daily Thumb Exercises”?
