Brain Colors Receive, Process & Respond Differently

Recently, my husband and I were having a discussion about how the four Brain Colors receive, process and respond to information differently

It is fascinating to examine each Brain Color’s behavior, which resembles a gear that needs to be maintained in a specific manner.

Yellow Brainers are comfortable when they receive information in an organized format, as if it was listed into the Table of Contents of a book. They process the information deliberately and respond only when they have prepared and planned how they are going to reply.

Blue Brainers are happy when they receive information in a visual manner, as if they were reading a picture book or watching a movie. They process information by talking about what is on their mind, however, they rarely analyze their thoughts. Their response is un-filtered raw data with an extra bonus of emotions.

Green Brainers like to receive information that is relevant to them. They are only interest in the data or solutions that can be proven. Graphs and Excel spread sheets are helpful tools. Their response to information as if  they were the  1950’s Dragnet TV series character Joe Friday, “All we want are the facts, ma’am” or  “All we know are the facts, ma’am”.

Orange Brainers are so busy juggling life they don’t always receive all the information they need to or want to. They like to receive information in soundbites, Twitter is perfect for their personality type. They respond to the information quickly, as if they were a “Idea” Pony Express rider jumping off of one horse and on to another.

I love the descriptions you’ve provided here. I think I’m a yellow/blue cross-over. I would have said straight blue, but I do, indeed, analyze my thoughts — intentionally.

    Great post!
