Brain Colors Dampen Fuming Frustration

Last Monday, I sent out the Prince Shayna Musical Announcement. My Yellow Brain wanted people to have enough time to put the date on their calendar. Unexpectedly on Thursday, I received an email informing me that the date, time and ticket price had been changed!

My frustration was fuming! My Yellow Brain was upset that I had not been informed in a respectful fashion. I felt the I deserved a phone call to let me know this was happening as the author and because of my signed contracted.

My Green Brain also wanted to know the reasons for the changes.

All I could think about was… an Orange Decision was made without any consideration or communication. I continued to fume!

Being a Blue Brainer I had to talk about my frustration over, over, and over again! I almost drove my Green Brain husband who cannot stand repetition crazy. Being married for 45 years has taught us patience with each other and our Brain Color Personalities.

After a few hours, my Blue Brain Flexibility dampened my fuming frustration and I was able use my Green Brain to handle the situation logically.

Today, I sent out an amended Princess Shayna Musical Announcement with the important date, time and ticket price changes!

I am grateful that I can speak, write, think and feel the Brain Color Approach to dampen my frustrations.

How have you ever used the Brain Color approach to dampen a fuming frustration?

Sheila – I’m pretty sure I would have gone through the same color steps as you. Yowza! — that would be well beyond frustrating!
