A Writer’s Swamp Lesson

I apologize for not writting a blog post since September 27th. I did miss writing my posts. However, instead of Writer’s Cramp, I experienced Writer’s Swamp”.

It all began with… preparations for our family observance of Rosh Hashanah, followed by preparations for 3 What Color Is Your Brain? Programs in one week, observance of Yom Kippur with our family, reviewing and revising my new website and on-going calls and with the home flood repair service providers.

Finally, but not surprisingly, I succumbed to exhaustion… I was SWAMPED! I felt like a enormous green swamp monster was holding me captive.

My “Yellow Brain” that always feels a huge sense of responsibility to my family, friends and clients was reminded of  a valuable lesson.

I need to be more “Blue Brain” and take good care of myself by remembering… if doing something is not a “healthy decision” for me I need to say, “That does not work for me!”

With this selective “Green Brain Mantra” I trust I will avert another episode of Writer’s Swamp”!

Has an enormous green swamp monster ever held you captive?

    Yikes!

The cool thing you learned from your recent swamp-time is to voice your choice: “This does not work for me!”

Yes, we all need to remember our voice and our choices and when to use them both WISELY!
