A Quilt & Customer Service

Today, my “Yellow Brain” planned a visit to Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Superstore in Vernon Hills to purchase a children’s printed quilt square to embroider with our grandson, Jonah’s birthday, weight, length and time of birth. I was delighted when I found the perfect quilt square with a darling jungle print, which I could embroider in English and Portuguese, as I had done for Yasmin.

My creative “Blue Brain” has enjoyed embroidering many birth quilts for all the grandchildren in the Glazov family and for close friends. 

When I couldn’t find the appropriate warm cotton batting, Bob, the store manager, went out his way to help me and make sure I was satisfied with my selection.

I also purchased two packages of foam stickers for our granddaughter, Yasmin. When Laura O. the sales associate, finished my transaction, I commented, that I thought the stickers were on sale. Laura proceed to close her cash register and walked me back to the craft aisle to verify the price. The sign, which was posted, was out of date and I had not notice the fine print. Laura  removed the outdated sign and said she would be happy give me the sale price.

We returned to the check counter, where Laura refunded my money. As I was about to leave,  Bob the mangers, who was standing
at the check out counter said, “Thank you for shopping with us. We appreciate you coming in.”

I thanked Bob and Laura, and returned to my car, delighted with my soon-to-be baby quilt materials and the excellent customer service!
