A Grand Day to Celebrate Teachers!
Brain Color Program for Fantastic Teachers
On Monday, June 5th, I had the pleasure of facilitating a 3.5 hour What Color Is Your Brain? program for the staff of the Gertrude B. Nielson Child Care and Learning Center.
I have had the honor and the pleasure of working with the GBN staff, since 2011!
School Anniversary Celebrtion
Monday’s program was a celebration of the school’s 35th anniversary and a staff development day, after the years of COVID 19 challenges. To add to the festivities, each table was sprinkled with colorful confetti, hats, colored markers, and a colorful teacher sayings that one Orange Brain of the staff members had created
A Day of Fun, Self-Care Reagan, and Reflection
Miller DeNotto, the school director, and I planned a day of fun, self-care, reflection, and learning about everyone’s Brain Color Personalities.
Workbook and Activities
Each staff member had a customized workbook. They each took a Brain Color Quiz, learned about the attributes and abilites for each Brain Color, discovered 12 Brain Color Essential Foundation Concepts, and Brain Color Communication Clues, what motivates them and how they motivate others, and they enjoyed interacitve experiences to acknowledge their Praiseworthy Gifts, Who and/or What Filles Their Brain Color Glass, and the Blue Brain Poetry I always like to include in my programs They also participated in two Brain Color Group Activiites to answer the following questions accoding to their Brain Colors:
- How do I deal with an individual who does not have the same Brain Color approach, as I do, while they are standing on a different Brain Color corner?
- How I step up to responsibilities in my classroom and/or in the school?
Customized Brain Color Tee Shirts
To end the day each staff member had fun deoorating a white tee shirt (they had brought) according their Brain Color Attributes and Abilities. On Tuesday they all wore their Brain Color shirts to school.
Closing Thought
Everyone had a grand time and Reagan told me that her staff members said the program was “Perfect” for their celebration!
