109 Year Old Advise

The title of the article is: 10 CANNOTments, which was adapted from William John Henry Boetcker in Lincolnon Private Property; leaflet, 1916. The wisom of this article is a valueable, as it was 109 year ago.

Rev. Boetchker is also widely credited with coining the phrase, “A man is judged by the company he keeps, and a company is judged by the men it keeps, and the people of Democratic nations are judged by the type and caliber of officers they elect.”

10 CANNOTments

1. YOU CANNOT create prosperity by discouraging thrift.
2. YOU CANNOT strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
3. YOU CANNOT uplift small minded people by tearing down big minded people.
4. YOU CANNOT uplift the meager by reducing the abundance.
5. YOU CANNOT help wage earners by hurting wage payers.
6. YOU CANNOT progress by spending more than your income.
7. YOU CANNOT achieve security on borrowed money.
8. YOU CANNOT attain brotherhood through class emphasis.
9. YOU CANNOT build independence by dulling initiative.
10. YOU CANNOT truly help others by doing for them what they could be doing for themselves.
